There are so many cars and so many things, big or small that may need to be fixed or adjusted. Sometimes that five-minute call and a little advice may be enough. At other times you may require a member of our team to become involved and assist you with a valuation or handling a service issue for you.
It all starts with a phone call or by sending us a message from our contact page.
We are here to help and frequently that help results in you saving money or even making additionally money when it comes to selling your vehicle.

A damaged Tyre
Mr Granger called us after hitting a curb and seeing at had caused a small a cut in his tyre.
He said the cut was only small and asked us what he should do. We recommended it be examined for safety reasons concerning the possibility of damage to the rim or wheel alignment. We referred him to a tyre specialist near him. He let us know that the tyre was OK but the wheel alignment needed fixing.
As the advise and referral only took a few minutes on the phone there was no charge to Mr. Granger.
Valuing your car
Valuing a car can vary in terms of time and therefore in costs. Simple desk top valuations can be done remotely. Mainly on common vehicles like say Toyota Corolla/Camry or Mazda 323/Axela In this case, your first contact with us maybe by email or a phone.
We would then prepare a marketing file after us agreeing the asking price and you you would then electronically pay our base fee of $150. We use a service called “Trademe” where with our assistance you can setup up an account. The Trademe listing charge is $149. Should you wish us to list it and monitor the response we would be happy to do that on an for a further $149
Should you need a valuation on an exotic or unusual vehicle say like a Porsche or Audi Q that requires a visit to your premises or more likely you visiting us here in Ellerslie for a visual appraisal that would also be done on an agreed hourly basis.
Everything we do for you is led by good communication and agreement.
Assistance With Insurance

There are such a very wide variety of options in this arena, however considering that most of you that enquire with GCAS will probably have some sort of track record or experience with insurance companies already. Once again we are happy to initially discuss this with you at no cost. If we then mutually agree that we can assist you the basis would be $150 for the first hour, then $99 per hour or part of. Selling a Car
Mrs. Brown, who turned out to be a fit and interesting 73 year old who wanted to sell here current car and upgrade to an electric vehicle

She needed to supply full details and photos of her vehicle and a personal ID along with her contact details so we could keep in touch during the process. She keep the vehicle at her premises allowing us access with prior notice. We retained a spare set of keys. We explained that it would most likely take between one week up to six weeks to sell. There was some further time needed to complete the sale which cost an additional hour ($99.) It took 3 weeks to sell and netted Mrs. Brown $1,900 more than she had been offered as a trade-in.

Repair advice. i.e. Mechanical: There is such a myriad of makes models and possible problems in this arena that in reality it is not possible to cover it all in one sentence or page or maybe even a whole book. Our best advice is to contact GCAS and we will assess the possibility of our being able to assist you on a case by case basis. Long term experience on this subject will enable us to tell you were to go or not to go to for your satisfaction.
